Helping Daddy! Silly Dogs and Lake!!

Today was one of the first days in a long time that we were able to spend together as a family. We had a lot of projects around the house that needed completion. First on the list was fixing and installing a separate kennel area for Zoe.
Zoe is our female chocolate lab and she is already in heat. We think that she is pregnant already but we decided that we needed a separate area for puppies-when they arrive! Here are some fun videos of Rand helping Daddy fix and the other is a video of Zoe-drinking water-we think!

You can see in this video that our male chocolate lab, Mojo, is very protective/possessive of Zoe. They were only separated for about ten minutes until Mojo managed to open the gate connecting the separate areas and let Zoe in! It is amazing. Mojo will not leave her side for anything and has even gone far enough to not eat and let Zoe eat his food!! They sleep all snuggled together as well!!
We decided after working hard all day we needed some fun! We loaded all of us and the wild pack of dogs into the truck and headed to Newton Lake! It was a lot of fun but almost too much dog to handle. Zoe and Mojo did fantastic by themselves, they would swim and fetch sticks that we threw into the water! Leo would be alright and swim for a little bit and then would take off forcing Dustin to chase him down and bring him back!! Jack, was the same as Leo! He shocked us and actually went into the water but then would take off running-and Mojo and Zoe would follow close behind!! So it actually ended up that Leo and Jack were kept on leashes while Zoe and Mojo swam!
Rand didn't like the water because it was too cold, which actually made me really happy seeing how the water was really mossy and stinky! Once we got the bunch home we decided that they all needed baths and we needed showers!! It was a tiring awesome day!!

Oh, can I just tell you how much I miss this funny little kid when we are gone?!? I LOVE the ice cream dance, he must've learned it from Bugga--she does one that is very similar, but with more twirls!! I love it when he calls me--"Hi Tonna, doonin?" Yep, he cracks me up!!
