This year is all about Toy Story for Rand. His birthday party was a Toy Story theme, cake and presents. So naturally when we asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween he chose Buzz Lightyear! Grandma found this awesome costume for him and he was so excited to dress up and go Trick or Treating!
For the twins I decided to spend two days frantically sewing with many calls to Tonya!! (Thank again!!) I made Avie a princess dress and Jona a dragon top, complete with a lumpy tail!
These are from the night before trick or treating, hence the pajama pants on Jona! We put black sweat pants on him for the actual event! They are just at that stage where it is next to impossible to get a wiggle free picture!
It was a fun night! We took the twins and Rand trick or treating to all of our neighbors and then some friends came over and so I stayed home with the twins to hand out candy and everyone else went trick or treating! The kids (and parents) came home with baskets filled to the brim and warmed up with some finger and toe soup (baked potato soup) and some bugs, snails and worms in dirt and Swamp juice!
The rest of October was a fun time filled with things such as going to the corn maze with all of Rand's class mates and field trips! But here is a slide show of some of the silly things my kids have been up to, we even spent a Sunday afternoon playing at the park! The twins LOVED the slides and the swings!
This week I learned an important lesson: Here is why I do not clean or do pretty much anything until they are asleep. If I leave the room, things like this happen:
